And the basic factor for attaining that is also within us. “By eliminating the defilements in his mind, the Buddha achieve the Wisdom-truth Body. Our mind of clear light is obscured by adventitious defilements, but by relying on the words of the Buddha, we can clear them away. It’s not something we achieve by making effort, we all possess it naturally. The basic nature of the mind is clear light-clarity and awareness-and we all have it. Our true nature is to be free of defilements, and yet in the meantime we are subject to defilements that are temporary. He was motivated by altruism and finally became enlightened.
